Today Unless the stags go comatose they should be able to beat Siena who is not a very good team. Sunday is another story as Marist is a solid team. The stags lost to them h3-1 earlier in the year. I hope FF plays better then their showing vs Manhattan because Marist will be a tough opponent.

The stags played a very good match today putting away the Siena easily in sets 2 & 3 after a close first set with the Saints. FF hits an outstanding .376 vs Siena at.044. FF very good front line Freshmen pin hitter Krubally crushed the ball hitting an amazing .692 for the match. In sets 2 & 3 FF hit blistering .448 and .464 respectively. Stags must not be overconfident going into tomorrow's match with Marist and keep in mind that Siena is a really crappy team with an overall 2-24 record. In the meantime, our friends from Poughkeepsie did the stags a favor and took out Quinnipiac 3-1 in Hamden. The Marist "w" puts FF squarely in first place by one match. Tomorrows match at the "LEO" vs #3 Marist should be a close and exciting match up. Lets hope the stags come out on top. Stags Up!

"I was happy to have so many players contribute today, and it was great to have Elle [Shult] back in the rotation after a month," said Nancy Somera. "It's going to take all of us to continue to be successful this season, so it's a huge benefit to have everybody who checks in playing well and playing with confidence."
Prior to the match, Fairfield recognized its three graduating student-athletes, seniors Kyla Berg and Noelle Carey and grad student Elle Shult. "Especially for a first-year coaching staff, our seniors have been so crucial with the maturity and experience that they bring to our team," said Somera. "For all that they do on the volleyball court, I know that there's also so much they do as leaders outside of our gym that makes us a better team."
The #1 Stags (13-2)(17-6) close out their three-match homestand and the regular season home slate on Sunday, Nov. 5 with a 1 p.m. visit from #3 Marist. The Red Foxes are (13-14 overall) and (11-5) in the MAAC after their four-set win at Quinnipiac this afternoon.

Stags take down Marist 3-1 (25-20, 25-23, 15-25, 25-15). "Of course, it was an important match in the standings, but the biggest thing to me is that we played better this time around against a team that outplayed us six weeks ago," said Head Coach Nancy Somera. "These are the type of matches you can expect from the top teams in the conference when November rolls around, and the experience can only help us as we get closer to the postseason."280 fans at Mahoney Arena. Back from an entertaining VB match at Mahoney. The stags take down The foxes 3-1 despite Marist slightly out hitting the stags for the match. The stags play well in the first two sets and then beat themselves in set #3 hitting 0.00% on 9 kills and 9 errors. The fourth set was a different story as FF finishes off Marist to take the match. Marist is a dangerous team and the stags hopefully will not see them In the tournament. On to Jersey next weekend to face St Peteβs and Rider.

Well deserved, because no one hustles as much as Kyla, she goes after every ball 110%.
