The former Stag shortstop has signed a contract with the New England Knockouts to play baseball this summer. The team is based out of Brockton, Massachusetts and competes in the Frontier League, an MLB affiliated organization who has had a history of seeing quite a few of their players advance to higher levels of organized ball including all the way to the majors. So this is a chance for Noah to show what he has to the pros. If he approaches anything in the way of statistics like he did for the Stags, both offensively and defensively, perhaps he will be one of the guys that follows the tradition of some of the former players. So good luck to him in this new adventure.

Great news for Noah. FYI, the NY Boulders, who play their games at Clover Stadium in Pomona, home of the MAAC tourney, also play in the Frontier League. Easy ride for Stag fans to see Noah this summer

Former Stag Tucker Nathans played for the Boulders the last 2 seasons. Nathans hit .310 last year as a 34-year old.
I believe he went the same route Lucier is, starting in indy ball, earned himself an affiliated contract and played a few years in MiLB making it as high as AAA for 1 game, then back to indy ball.

I believe he went the same route Lucier is, starting in indy ball, earned himself an affiliated contract and played a few years in MiLB making it as high as AAA for 1 game, then back to indy ball. Something interesting I have found out from reading the notes about Lucier in the Stag website is that now, as opposed to years ago, the Frontier League is considered MLB affiliated, something that I would imagine helps in a small way the ability of a player to get noticed by big-league clubs if they perform at a high level for one of the FL teams. My nephew happened to play in that league from 2012-2015 for a team called the Normal (Ill.) Corn Belters when almost all the franchises were located in the Midwestern part of the country. A few years ago they merged with what was called the Can-Am League (hence the Boulders connection), and I guess the expansion of the league helped to cement the affiliation with the big league organizations. Anyway the point I am making is that this change can only help Noah if he plays well in his first season as a pro.
