The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) is currently engaged in a robust and inclusive strategic planning process to guide the conference in the ever-evolving world of intercollegiate athletics. As a pivotal part of this process, individuals associated with the MAAC are invited to participate in a brief, anonymous survey available through the following link: marist.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bwkBjDPnnhcZIQm
The survey will be open until Thursday, March 7, 2024, and takes approximately 3-5 minutes to complete.
The survey serves as a forum for participants to articulate their views, vision, and aspirations for the MAAC. This initiative is an integral component of a comprehensive engagement strategy, incorporating previously conducted one-on-one conversations and multiple focus group sessions.

I guess it's nice that they are asking for input.
The question that intrigues me the most is: "How would you rate the reputation of the MAAC as a conference, when compared to peer conferences?" The don't say who they think are our peer conferences, nor do they give an idea as to how they define "peer conferences" (regionally? athletically? academically? size/demographics? etc).
Along those lines, if you had to pick one conference that you think is the closest peer to the MAAC, and you can base it on whatever reasons you want, who would it be? I'm going to set up a separate thread/poll.

Unfortunately, the deed is done. Adding MSM, SHU and MC doomed the league to be NEC 2.0. Anything they do will be putting lipstick on a pig. It amazed me how quickly the new commissioner acted in adding these schools. He should have taken his time to study the environment, take the pulse of the schools, and conduct this study. Instead, he appeared to act rashly which strikes of desperation as if there were something about to fall. Maybe there still is but I feel we would have known by now and Nemec is the lead school president of the league now. How much money has Fairfield poured into its athletics program over the last 10 years? And this is where we will remain for the foreseeable future? Just bizarre!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the MAAC college presidents have the final say as to who is issued an invitation to join the league? I'm thinking the Commissioner couldnt have added those 3 schools without the approval of the current 11 member schools.

Ensor was an awful commissioner. IMO he did the bare minimum to get by. Way too comfortable in the position. Tellitocci walked into Endor’s mess and has to make the best of it until contracts run out. Too early to tell but can’t say I’m confident There was low hanging fruit - such as getting the Leo on ESPNU he didn’t do - at least once every 2 years every league team should have a home game on that schedule. I have heard about the league trying to do much to coordinate efforts among the schools- last night would have been a good one to try to get FU students/fans up to Hamden. also, Atlantic City isn’t a bad place for a championship-just not the MAACs as it’s out of the footprint. Swimming championships was in Ohio - odd choice -Disney isn’t a fit either.
