As part of its planning process survey, the MAAC asks: "How would you rate the reputation of the MAAC as a conference, when compared to peer conferences?" But they don't say who they think are our peer conferences, nor do they give an idea as to how they define "peer conferences" (regionally? athletically? academically? size/demographics? etc).
If you had to pick one conference that you think is the closest current peer to the MAAC, based on whatever reason(s) you want, who is it?

In terms of overall quality of the teams, this year its probably the America East.
In past years it has often been the CAA, Patriot and Ivies. But we've always been ahead of the NEC.

To me:
NEC - Their bad is bad. I think their top can play with our top but overall MAAC is better. Patriot - Their bad is bad but I think Colgate is way better then QU but lost to Iona. I still think we have an edge. CAA - Hofstra, CofC and UNCW all leaps and bounds better then our best. Their bad arguably is like our bad but i think top to bottom better.
I voted AE. I think consistently their conference kind of aligns talent wise with us. Some good and some bad, never too high or too low.
