Agree can’t catch a break. That’s a shame for our first national broadcast the students on spring break, a Thursday night (school night for community) and Canisius who historically is not a good draw.

Additionally, no band, no cheerleaders, no dance team. A reduced atmosphere, however better late then never!

Why is senior night being held before a game during spring break? It should have been scheduled last Sunday with all the alumni floating around and a full house. Seems like a missed opportunity in a year when nearly everything else has gone right.

I understand all the negative comments above, admittedly caused by the timing of finally getting a home game on live national (cable) TV. That said, and considering the late nature of the move to do this, possibly influenced a bit by some of the pressure from even some people on this forum (shout out to poster or posters who directly communicated with our Commissioner), actually getting this to happen for the first time ever for our new Arena is something to be happy and proud of even if all the ducks aren't in a row for a perfect presentation. Anyway even without direct student participation, the fact is with first place probably on the line coinciding with a great product to put on display, I've got a feeling that the venue itself will be pretty full with people hoping to see the Stags win in their final home contest of the season. This could be just the start of good things to come for the program. Therefore I'm willing to overlook a couple of the negative things here and instead exalt in the fact that this night has finally arrived two years after the building opened.

Once again John Fanta helps create interest in a MAAC ESPNU game. This time instead of interviewing the coaches, he interviews a player on each team —- Fields for us and center Frank Mitchell for Canisius.
