6’ Rutgers player comes to us via the portal. She’s from Clifton Park NY and only played one season at Rutgers.

I think this could be a huge pickup for the Stags. Her playing style fits perfectly with the Stags system.
BTW, her brother is former Maryland star Kevin Huerter, now with the Sacramento Kings

With these two transfers, how many open scholarships do we have left? Neither transfer is the dominant big which many seem to believe is what we need to add to be successful in the NCAA tournament as opposed to only dominating the MAAC.

Certainly enough to get the right player. I don't know how many Fairfield uses, but the women can have up to 15 scholarships.

Nor is either freshman coming in. What would happen if Anderson got hurt and missed a lot of games for example. We don't have a lot of depth at the 4/5 position. Now is Huerter can play inside and out, that would be huge. Selimovic doesn't have the ball handling skills to do that currently, nor does Beach. Meg tends to handle the ball the best of the bigs, which helps. Imagine a full court 1-3-1 with Huerter and Anderson's length, and Brown lamoreax speed and ball pressure.

I was looking at Marshall. They basically swarmed D like Niagara and chucked 3P like they were going out of style. If you thought Fairfield was small... Marshall was tiny.
Scott averaged 1.6 steals per game and 5.4 3PA at 35%. Not hard to see how she'll fit. From the highlights I could find - she doesn't look like a primary ballhandler - so I wonder if CTD might be looking for another or are the Stags set with Brown/Lam/Izza?

Definitely need a ballhandler added after the next season as Brown and Izza will both be gone.

BTW, her brother is former Maryland star Kevin Huerter, now with the Sacramento Kings And if that is true, then if I'm not mistaken she has another brother who used to play for Siena a few years ago. Anyway because I admit to not knowing that much about the players from other schools in the women's game, I'll defer to you and trust your optimistic viewpoint in this new Stag addition. Could next season possibly be better than this past one?

Could next season possibly be better than this past one? What? You want 30 wins in a row?!?! Expectations will be very high and they won't sneak up on anyone. They had some close calls, last season, and there could always be a letdown game. However - I think we'll be looking at an even better team. It will be interesting to see what they do with the OOC schedule. Can they upgrade this some without just adding brutal buy games ie. @south Carolina... @lsu... etc.? It would be fun if they could get a benefit game or open scrimmage vs. UCONN. Almost makes too much sense. I would imagine the Vegas line on MAAC wins will be like 19 1/2.

A better team with almost definitely not as good a record. Too many intangibles over a 30+ game season.

We were very lucky on the injury side this past year, so that combined with the not sneaking up on anyone will make 24-25 a bit tougher. Out of the top 5 scorers, I don't think Anderson, Brown, Selimovic missed a game with injury. Mcgruder missed 3 or so, Lamoreaux missed 1-2 games. That's a pretty low rate of lost time. We struggled in the games that Lamoreaux and Mcgruder missed against St Peters, Mt St Marys, Siena if I recall.
