NCAA likely to add a rule this summer where the officials can go to video replay to see if both feet are inbounds on end of game situations. I was very surprised that wasn’t already in the rules when the ref didn’t see this TCU player step on the sideline when making the shot below.

I know they are trying to get things right and I can appreciate that. However, the refs are getting video review crazy and it is slowing down the game.

Article mentions another potential rule change to be considered by the Rules Committee this summer: an automatic one game suspension for any coach, player or bench person who makes physical contact with or threatens a referee. That would be in addition to the current ejection for such conduct. Also, mentions a potential experimental rule for the 2025 NIT where instead of the referees voluntarily video reviewing out of bounds plays in the last two minutes of the game — the video review would be tied to the challenging team’s timeouts. Lose the challenge and you’d lose a remaining timeout. Win the appeal and the team retains its timeout. www.ncaa.org/news/2024/5/2/media-center-expanded-video-replay-review-proposed-for-mens-basketball.aspx

Some of the other nonsense they review is tedious. The problem to me is the time they take to review it. It's like they're afraid to make a decision.
