Anyone remember Bernie Cieplicki? Only played one season for the Stags, but he lit up UConn for 5 of 8 from three-point range. He also went ballistic on the Kurt Thomas/Billu Tubbs TCU team, nearly leading the Stags to a huge upset. Bernie was also a shooter of limited athleticism and strength, but man if he got even an inch of space, he could get a shot off and there was about a 50-50 chance it was going in. Sure 94, you're absolutely right, he was a great shooter. In fact my friend who is my barber has told me (I would assume half jokingly) that he was the greatest shooter the Stags ever had. That might be overstating a bit, however he might have had quite a career at Fairfield if he didn't transfer back to his homestate of Vermont for reasons I believe were family related.
