Well Degnan has the skill set: size, shooting, passing to be a Rossiter type player. Not too many of them come thru the MAAC. He's got to take a big step as a soph.

Just flipped through the list of kids that we are after for next year - probably the best program that we are up against for any of them is Marshall. None of the kids are world beaters. We're probably best off with 5th years and let the next guy get a full/big class of his liking.
The problem with that is most of the following year's recruits will have been signed by Syd, and the ones signed after the season is over won't be the higher rated ones.
One of the players that I heard mentioned that we were involved with because of Martin Bahar was Dwayne Lautier Ogunyele, a 6-3, 190lb guard from the UK. He plays in the Professional league, but is not getting paid..... so I think he is immediately available The good international players can really make a difference.
One more name I had dropped on me recently was Nylan Yancy of the Masters School, NY. 6'4 combo guard out of Richardson, TX, I was told he graduated HS a year early and took a prep year. Very long, athletic, excellent defender. Has a great frame. I know Fairfield's looking for a JUCO, but this is the type of sleeper that brings you success. Hard to believe no one's on this kid, especially in light of the fact that he's a honors student.

Video on Curtis Cobb. Seems like he was very highly regarded in 2013 as UCONN and others offerred. Smooth player. looks like a perfect 3G for us. Listed at 6-3 to 6-4.

Curtis Cobb would be a very good get for us, hope we land him. Ranked as the #15 Prep player in New England for 2015. For reference sake, Tommy Nolan is ranked #52.

52 in New England? Sorry Stagal, I don't see #52 as a difference maker. I'll admit I've never seen him play but he can't possibly live up to the hype he's getting on this board. He looks like a thousand good Irish Catholic HS basketball players I've watched over the years, very few of whom turned out to make a difference in college. That being said I'll gladly eat my words if he turns out to be John Ryan (or Mike Riordan, Kevin Joyce, John Roche, Mike Dunleavey, Chris Mullin, Bobby Hurley)
