While we can't count on Twitter being totally accurate.... But it looks like Aidas's hand has been in a cast for the last 2 months

Also a good sign that he re-tweeted story's about Needham and Rakim's overseas success.
Aidas Kavaliauskas retweeted Fairfield Basketball @stagsmensbball Jun 26 Congrats to @fairfieldu alum Derek Needham '13 and Rakim Sanders (@roc401) '12 for making Fairfield Basketball proud!
Just curious. Do international players sign Letters of Intent? If so, has Aida's done so? Also, even with his recruitment we have a few spots open for 2016. I would think we'll have some kids in soon for official visits. Is anyone aware of any upcoming? Thanks.
Welcome indeed. Looks like the whole family was there. And I expect we will read all their names in the announcement of his signing next month or so. Really like how we seem to be emphasizing entire family in our recruiting.
Good to see Milin in the picture. Having other International players like Milin and Kasibabu onboard has to make Aidas's decision more comfortable. Hope we are still after the 6-7 forward from Poland Jakub Mijikowski. I think Jacub made an official visit to Albany last weekend, but did not verbal. Looks like this was Aidas's official visit.
It might sound great to get players from all over the world, but if they are not better than the average MAAC player it does us no good. Lest we forget, Josip Mikulic was from overseas and he did not do much in spite of some pretty good hype coming in.
The key to success is to get recruits that are better than our competition. Cooley did that. TOT, to some extent, also did that. SJ has, however, brought in recruits that might compete favorably against Brown and Dartmouth, but not against Iona and Manhattan.
Hopefully the tide is turning with the recent signees, but only time will tell.
Many of the overseas players are shooters and like to play outside. I looking for Syd to recruit a tough guy. Someone who can play with his back to the basket and wants to mix it up. I'll take a Shannon bowman anytime over a euro.

Very strong I hear. I hope tough as well. With the exception of two or three players, I didn't think Cooley's guys were more talented than the average MAAC players. I think they just played harder and were better coached than other guys in the league.
