Aidas will be working on his game this season by attending the Spire Basketball Academy in Ohio. Looks like an organization that is very good at getting the best improvement possible with serious ballplayers.
Very strong I hear. I hope tough as well. With the exception of two or three players, I didn't think Cooley's guys were more talented than the average MAAC players. I think they just played harder and were better coached than other guys in the league.
I think the MAAC coaches would disagree. They voted the following list of players as All MAAC
MVS Han AJ Hawkins Olander Needham
And Greg Nero and Edney would have been All-MAAC if some health issues did not set them back

My thoughts are in red - RF
Generally I agree with this statement. Cooley got his guys to play hard, moreso than other coaches. Many were "Athletic" but not necessary great basketball players.
On the below comments from Joe I would just add that three of those "all-maac" players were not cooley recruites.

Here's an empirical look at all-maac selections by coach. I know there are flaws in this analysis but rather than comment on these I am going to just post the facts for what they are. Buonguoro and Johnson would be the weakest recruiting coaches we had if you strictly consider all-maac selections. All-MAAC recruites by coach.

when you finish crunching all the numbers, all maac players, and hot dogs sold - - it comes down to wins, perception, relevance, and attendance. some coaches have it, some do not.
Great. I believe Stagz reported that he played well on his visit. The video of him shows a passing PG who, while not as speedy as Rome, is pretty quick and strong. Seems like a very solid international signing. And with Nolan we will have nice depth at guard. Still would like to see a strong and quick penetrator to balance out guard group.
