Just a morsel of information, totally unconfirmed, that I heard recently. The Stags might be playing Boston College as part of some "tournament" structure. Tourney unknown, up there or neutral? Don't know. However I do see that the Eagles are listed as taking part in the Barclay's Classic. Stay tuned on this one.
If Nashville's unconfirmed morsel does turn out to be the Barclay's Classic, bloggingthebracket lists Barclay's as a 4 host team with 4 visiting team event. However, they have these five teams listed as host teams:
Arkansas Razorbacks (SEC)? Boston College Eagles (ACC) Kansas State Wildcats (Big 12) Maryland Terrapins (Big Ten) Richmond Spiders (A 10)
No visiting teams are listed yet.
Last season Army was one of the visiting teams and played two games against host teams in the host schools' campus gyms and two games against 2 of the three other visiting teams. Last year's format had all 4 visiting teams playing at West Point, with the winners of the first days' games playing each other for a subregional championship and the 2 losing teams of the first day meeting in a consolation game.

St. Peter's hosted the subregionals in 2014, and Monmouth did the same in 2013. It would be nice to get two home games versus mid-majors and beat Boston College, too.
I want to play in this tournament.

Boston College will play Fairfield at the Mass Mutual Center on 12/21, source told @cbssports. Part of doubleheader with Oklahoma/Auburn.
Well I guess my "morsel" was part right. Not part of a tournament, but yet a good match at a neutral sight. Nice doubleheader also for people that care about more than just the Stags. Oklahoma, returning elite 8 team against Auburn featuring a return to New England of super frosh Mustapha Heron from Sacred Heart of Waterbury.
I' m happy to go back to Springfield. Receptions held at the student prince in the past were always good during the MAAC tourney. Too bad the MGM casino planned for downtown is still in the planning stage. Downtown activity is a bit slow after working hours.

Never know how good teams are going to be from one year to the next, but the fact is the Eagles, at least in the ACC, were horrendous. Obviously the competition in that league is like night and day compared to the MAAC. However I would think that if we are good in our league we should certainly have a great chance to win this game. So because of that and also because of the restoration of a historical connection between the two schools that this contest represents, I am excited about this game!

Great get, though I'm a little disappointed this game isn't being played in Boston. At least we get another go-round at the Student Prince.
Mass Mutual arena and the Student Prince has treated us very well (except for the ushers). Good location for a neutral site.
Even this far in advance, maybe there could be some arrangement between the school and the followers of the program to take over "The Prince" for a pregame gathering. Always enjoyed the time spent in that building!
