Can’t be surprised by this. First, kids transfer more these days. It is a fact. Second, this was a very tough year and many questions on way forward remain. Third, a coaching transition took place.
If anyone doesn’t want to move forward with Jay, they should leave.
Nice player. Good upside. That said, IMO, he was disappointing. The area is FULL of kids who can shoot 27 % from 3, 61% from the FT line and average 3 assists and 3 turnovers per game. And I guess that the Cardona story was fake news.
Coaching changes usually bring about a lot of movement and you absolutely are betting on the improved direction of the program to outweigh any single player's decision.
Alvarez had upside, sure but he was a good player on a bad team. Someone has to play. Someone has to score. He made all rookie, but in a down year for the conference. Outside of Pickett, I can't recall one memorable MAAC frosh this year. The MAAC is a PG league. Pretty sure he can and should be replaced. He was also plagued with the problem that was a consistent theme with SJ point guards: He couldn't shoot. I wish him all the best and hope he finds a school that makes him happy. Best of luck!

Wow. Thought this would happen. Then I didn't with Cardona news. Outside of that one article anything to confirm any legitimacy to that? Feel like this is something that needs to get to the bottom of. What exactly happened here?
