We would like to thank Coach Young for his dedication and contributions to Fairfield during his four seasons with the Stags. During his tenure, Coach Young led the Stags to a 50-73 record, which included an appearance in the 2021 MAAC Championship game. We wish Coach Young much success in his future endeavors.
Chris Casey, who has served as an Assistant Men's Basketball coach for Fairfield over the past four seasons, will assume the role of Interim Head Coach effective immediately. The timing of this so close to the start of season is so strange. Giving the timing I see this as Jay's personal decision to resign. I hope he is alright.

Chris Casey - Interim Head Men's Basketball Coach Chris Casey was named the Interim Head Coach of Fairfield Men's Basketball prior to the 2023-24 season. An assistant coach for the Stags for the past four years, Casey came to Fairfield as a veteran of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, as he previously recruited and coached six All-MAAC basketball student-athletes during his six-year tenure as the head coach at Niagara University....
Crazy. Unfortunate timing before the season. Wishing Coach Young the best. Interested to see how the whole coaching staff will play out in effect to this.
