If the Stags actually win the rest of their games and the MAAC tournament - that would put them at 31-1 with a 29-game winning streak. I think that's how they get a #12 seed. And - if they did get a #12 seed - that probably puts them in a position where winning a game or two is not crazy talk.
A lot of things before that... #1 being Siena on the road.

Still boggles my mind that 31-1 only gets you a 12 seed. Including having a schedule of Big10, BigEast and SEC teams. Keep in mind that that MAAC had Sweet Sixteen representation in 2007 (Marist) and 2017 (Quinnipiac) and Round of 32 in 2008, 2011, 2012, 2018. Would think we would get a little respect.

not apples to apples but: the 1989-90 LaSalle team finished the regular season ranked 11th nationally after going 29-1 (loss to Loyola Marymount 121-116-only ranked team they played/but not a cupcake schedule) / 16-0 league - 3 blowout wins vs FU. Got a 4 seed - beat 13 seed Southern Miss and lost to 5 seed Clemson - 30-2 overall / final AP rank 12 www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/la-salle/men/1990-schedule.html

Still boggles my mind that 31-1 only gets you a 12 seed. It's ridiculous. I've never seen a mid-major men's team ranked in the top 30 get a 12 seed, they normally get a 7, 8 or 9 seed.

Different sports. The fact that they are getting votes for Top 25 does not mean they're one of the top 25 teams in the nation. SOS has something to do with it.

WVU lost twice this week and Princeton lost today. Might we see Fairfield at #25 Monday?!

Another game to watch tonight is UNLV at Nevada. The Runnin' Rebels (23-2, 13-1) are No. 26 in the poll, just ahead of Fairfield. If Nevada (14-13, 8-6) can pull the upset, Fairfield will definitely crack the Top 25. The game is actually on FS1 at 9:30 p.m.

Well tomorrow will be interesting. My opinion is that Princeton will fall out of the Top 25, and while there will be some re-shuffling of the others, the Stags will not move up more than one place to the 26th position. The other team that might fall below 25 would be West Virginia who had 2 losses, but both losses were to ranked teams so they will probable still get more votes for top 25 than the Stags, Princeton or UNLV. But you never know. I hope I am wrong and the Stags at a minimum get a lot more than 29 votes. Here are the teams I expect to be lower on the list this week: Louisville, West Virgina, and Syracuse. Here are the losses among the bottom tier of the top 25:
Unranked Virgina beat #20 Louiseville #24 Baylor beat #22 West Virigina Unranked Columbia beat #25 Princeton #12 UCLA beat #18 Utah unranked Duke beat #17 Syracuse #10 K-State beat #22 West Virginia

They lost to a pretty good Columbia team (NET 61) on the road

Bob is right. A two-point road defeat to a Columbia team that Charlie Creme puts on the bubble (Next Four Out) is not a bad loss. I don't think Fairfield will jump over Princeton this week. But we will crack the Top 25 at some point. Just win, baby.

I think Princeton will fall out. They were 25 and they lost to Columbia... not South Carolina. Mid-majors don't get to lose games like that and not drop in rank. WVU should drop out of the top 25 just for the way they lost to Baylor.
One of my main concerns with Fairfield is that they have done some weird and careless stuff (a few times) at the end of games and one day it might catch up to them - like it did to WVU.
