The resume was a nice idea but I’m guessing votes were in by the time it was posted - should have been done week ago after we didn’t get - should have had a media blitz once the win streak hit 20. FUs social media and public relations/communications in general needs a lot of work. I have to disagree here. You can't do it before having two games in a week and potentially losing one. They also arranged it when we had the best chance of making the poll. I've seen nothing but universal praise for this (which is a carbon copy of what we did with baseball during the COVID year). I can appreciate contrarian takes but this one seems way off.

I think they waited perfect amount, I do think we would have gotten in with the WVU regarless, but it has done 3 things. 1, the resume has gotten A LOT of attention to the school and program. 2, the residual affect for our coaching staff to recruit now has increased tremendously...throw in the Mahoney Center, top 25, etc. this is pretty incredible for recruiting. 3, parlaying on #2, they only lose one person from this team, I am curious to see who leaves (unhappy with playing time, personal reasons, etc) and if players don't leave, do you try and mix things up with a formula that clearly is working. We are going to have a large gap year after next year (Brown, Selimovic, McGruder, Leite, Beach are all gone), that is when the portal and freshman recruits will be huge.

Just excellent work. Keep it up!

I have generally been critical of our marketing but I think this is a case where congratulations on a job well done is in order. The resume was well done. The timing was right. I don't think we had the resume to break the top 25 much sooner. So I give kudos on this one. I had personally tweeted a "who is Fairfield map" to every voter who had not voted for the Stags in the previous poll. Frankly, the resume was a much better approach, I wish I had thought of it.

You never know what next year will bring, but it does appear the Stags will be in position to be even stronger. Can't help but wonder if the attention and AP25 ranking might grab the attention of a recruit or transfer who didn't previously have Fairfield on her radar.
I think the media coverage... CTD's use of the media (her messaging/themes have been strong and consistent)... and Fairfield marketing has been excellent. I've never seen so much coverage of the women's team.

The popularity of women’s basketball is steadily increasing as fans have an opportunity to watch players for multiple seasons whereas so many of the top players in men’s basketball are announcing for the NBA draft after one season. We’re so fortunate to have the combination of coaches and players that we do as the women’s game increases in popularity.

This situation is what we dreamed about for men’s basketball in the 1970/80s, and then men’s lacrosse in the 2000s. Now we have it with women’s basketball! Popularity exploding and we have all the pieces (arena, players, coaches, etc) and we are winning! We also have it in women’s lacrosse (but to a lesser extent attributable to lesser popularity).

Our coaches and WBB social network presence has been outstanding all season. Would love to know who came up with the resume. It was brilliant and got noticed across the CBB world.
