NERR is reporting the Stags are bringing in a RECRUITED WALK-ON guard named Jared Harper, who will join the team as a post graduate student next year. 73, please link please. Thanks.
Suffield Academy post-graduate guard Jared Harper has accepted a recruited walk-on spot at Fairfield University following a visit to the school’s campus and meeting with head coach Sydney Johnson and his staff over the weekend.

My mistake in saying he is coming in as a post graduate student. Meant to say he is in a post graduate situation at his current school (Suffield Academy).
So we have another scoring guard coming in, but one that doesn't take up a scholarship for now, joining Tyler Nelson. We also have offers out, to Casimir and Burnette; though that may change with this commitment.
Of course, don't know a thing about this kid. I like that he's a worker. Hope he can come all the way back from his high school injury. His video highlights remind me a bit of Jenkins.
I understand being down on the program as a whole, but why is this a joke? A young man, who suffered a serious injury and was a three sport athlete in high school, has decided to attend Fairfield, pay his own way, and hopes to contribute to the program as a walk on. What's the down side?
The desperation is obvious. They are trying so hard to see if anything can stick. Their focus should be on acquiring a better pedigree group of athletes. Why settle for mediocrity? That's all this regime shoots for. Go set your sights higher!

Sobro has this right. There is no risk with this and a potential return. I wish the kid the best and welcome him to Fairfield.
