Several interesting Twitter connections have popped up in the last few days. Lots of spots to fill.
Yes. Keep shooting for those 3 star guys. Jay Young and company are looking at every spot. Expect to see some more offers soon.
I think if our recruits know that we are mainly looking for 3-star recruits, then they would be interested too. Hope we will hear things this week on some recruits. May 1st and May15 always seem to be magical dates.

It appears Jay Young was in South Carolina and Bryan Dougher in Pittsburgh and someone just offered a kid in Dallas. So we’re out there.
Noah Hutchins from Buffalo has reclassified to a 2020 recruit and will attend IMG Academy this coming year. We are doing well on the Forwards and Centers..... but struggling to get a guard
By going the prep route this year his list of suitors will most likely be longer next year! The Stags chances to land him will most likely diminish. Actively pursue him for 2020 , u never know.

IMG Academy here I come😬🤷🏽♂️ ......#StayClutch
Saw that this PG (who signed with Rice) has decided to transfer. Didn't play much this season, but he was on our radar a couple of years ago.
If he was at Rice, he’s probably fine academically
Interesting. Even though he and Zach didn't really overlap at Rice, they have to know a lot of the same people.
With so few available scholarship I have to think we have a very high bar for who we are looking for. I wonder if a little used sophomore who shot .294 from inside the arc (admitted in limited appearances) merits using a scholarship on. Lots of thing to like regarding this players potential, I question if he is ready to come in next year and makes an immediate impact.
Unfortunately with limited scholarships there is no room for error on the recruiting side.

Hard to know with limited PT. I’m sure we’re looking everywhere for a PG, including JUCOS. Lots of players will be out there. Yes, can’t mess this up
Another seldom used PG with 3 years of eligibility in the portal - Marcus Dockery from Maryland.
I don't know much about Marcus or Maryland but I believe he was playing behind a 32 minute a game guy. So he might be he is a good player behind someone great. Hard to know. Wonder if TerpStag has any insignt:

Well I'm not claiming to know much about him other than what I have just read as described in his bio on the Maryland website. Formerly a three star recruit out of Brewster Academy in New Hampshire his final scholastic year, he was rated by one recruiting site as the 18th best combo guard in the country at the time. Sometimes talented players do indeed get stuck playing behind someone better, and this might have been the situation at Maryland. Would the Stags have a chance to get him or someone similar off the portal? My hope is that our new assistant James Johns might have a connection or two up his sleeve that might help. That said, I'm sure this kid might have a lot of offers soon thereby making it slim odds that he could ever become a Stag. But you never know in these situations.

Be prepared to wait a bit for the site to become viewable. It took approximately 20 seconds for it to come up on my iPad. It has Dockery as a 3 star transfer and the 93rd highest ranked transfer out of the 462 currently ranked by the site. Hutchins is a 2 star transfer and ranked 320. I think you’d also want to consider that a certain player might fit better in one offense than another. For example, a point guard who’d be great in a Princeton type offense might not do as well in a dribble drive offense. As a comparison, our Chief is presently the 205th ranked player among those transfers ranked by evanmiya, he’s one of the lower ranked 3 star transfers on the site. The site has a filter which allows you to only look at those players whose position you’re interested in.
IMO, Fairfield doesn't have time to wait on a transfer who has to sit a year. If they're eligible and fit the bill, have at it, especially if its an experienced guard. If you didn't already know it, after what we saw this weekend, you cannot have too many athletic guards.
