The voice of the announcer should "compliment" the game, not dominate the game. It should be distinctive, like John Condon for the Knicks back in the day. Easy to fix if the announcer wants to be a part of the game. Having your own style is important buy................ Sometimes less is more
Announcer is not the issue. The DJ thinks he's the show. Need to know when to stay silent and when to cut off the music when play resumes.

To the Mahoney Arena's "Quick Atrium" and "Lessing Plaza" now add "The Diffley".
Fairfield University
Named after beloved and legendary long-time employee George Diffley, the upper level club inside Mahoney Arena is known as "The Diffley." The honor comes in tribute to his transformational contributions to Fairfield as a Stag parent '96, '97 and Fairfield's most successful fundraiser.

Guess what, no more reasons as to why we don't win!!! This is on you. Excellent education, beautiful campus and gorgeous facility! No more excuses! Get more innovative offenses assistant coaches or its over. So tired of excuses!!!!
Lesson learned! NEVER respond to a post when you are tired. I want to apologize for the post I wrote 12 hours ago. I have always tried to respond in a positive way when I make comments, but last night was totally inappropriate. I have fallen to a place were I don't want to be, a negative commenter and a person who takes cheap shots at people who are trying their best to be successful. Again,I am personally sorry for my comments

No need to apologize for your previous post. I also want to be positive about the team, but that’s difficult to do with the combination of the O-4 start, the way we played against Wagner, and the very optimistic tone that JY had in the Open Court podcast before our season began. You expressed the frustration that I think many Stag fans are experiencing right now.
I agree with ‘76. It’s awfully hard to not be frustrated with the mens basketball program and stay positive about a sport at FF that has for 40+ /- years been a consistent loser. Unlike others on this board I am not one that suffers from stag euphoria. The record speaks for its self . However I continue to have patience hoping that some kind of stimulus ( not sure what) will turn things around. Go stags!
December 5,2022 at 7;00 A.M. appears to be the last shot from the construction camera. I would like to thank everyone involved in this endeavor. You don't know how much time I enjoyed on this site! Thanks for the memories.

I just picked up about 2 hours a day!
And I thought I was a Stagamaniac! Haha. Such an incredible process/build and on time. All involved should be applauded. It is really, really incredible when you think about it. It also gives me a renewed faith in the USA and what can be accomplished. And so great that we as Alumni, Students, Parents, Neighbors, and Friends were able to follow it daily!
agree the photo does not represent how good the stag looks lit up from behind. Nicely done! As soon as i left my car and began walking to the arena the stag caught my eye. Don't want to be overly critical but how about backlighting the stag in red?
The $75 million arena, financed in part by private donations, took about two years to complete, finally giving both the men’s and women’s ice hockey programs a home on campus.....Tickets for Saturday’s opener are already sold out, filling the roughly 4,000 seats that the arena can hold.
