They ask for cash and have asked for volunteering. My opinions come with that. My bully pulpit is not as big and bold as some others. Some of those others are saying or have said the same things I have communicated here.

Let’s not get cuckoo over this…. Would it be awesome to see Tricia Fabbri, an accomplished player, alumni, and coach return to Stag Country? Oh, yes! What a story!!!
But, do business decisions get made daily that weigh numerous factors and don’t go the way we expect, like, or dream? YES!!!
Carly Thibault-DuDonis seems accomplished, rising, and full of energy! When weighing all the factors (many that noone on this board has any clue about), I am excited and hoping for the best!
Only time will tell, but excited to give someone who seems to be a rising star a shot!

My beef is with the administration-I don’t believe them to be athletics friendly/they cower to the “academics”. Too much has to go right to win here and that has led to consistent mediocrity. An example of the administration’s ineptitude is timing-someone should have been in place the week after their or our season ended-Frager leaving wasn’t a surprise-new coach is behind in transfer portal and recruiting. Better timing might have allowed the new coach to be the first voice in LLSs ear-instead she was on a visit to another school during CTDs press conference.

Better timing might have allowed the new coach to be the first voice in LLSs ear-instead she was on a visit to another school during CTDs press conference. IMO, even if Joe Frager had not retired, LLS based on her own words, wants a pro career and test her skills in a higher program. Not sure even Joe could have kept her at FU in today's transfer environment. I have disagreed vehemently over the years with administration decisions on athletics. I still do in many areas. But look at the facts. The University as a whole, has grown dramatically the past 30 years in reputation, test scores, programs and enrollment and financial stability. We just had the largest application pool in history and admitted the largest class ever. Yes, many would say too conservative, but, it's a matter of how much risk you are willing to take and everyone's threshold is different. Did we miss opportunities, certainly. But overall, we are not in LaSalle's shoes and many other private colleges. We are a premier small University who was just reclassified to National status. St Petes got lucky and did it with a great run with athletics and it is a great promotion tool. But there is no guarantee that sports is going to pan out. It is a risky bet. Things have to fall right. Is it not better to put your focus and resources toward programs that the market demands, Biz, Nursing/Health, STEM? -- And high employment rates and salaries after graduation? And now with the transfer portal, athletics is even more risky. I still go back to how smart Loyola was in their conference move. Now there is no home for us that meets our profile. A-10 is a very long shot, CAA is not really a fit with a mixed bag of larger funded state schools. We are also in a limbo TV market for the "up" conferences. It is going to take a miracle to put us in a conference that makes sense for our overall profile. Unless you can pull a St. Petes, hire a sleaze ball high profile coach, or sell your soul on your academic principles you will never get the recognition from athletics and we will never be happy. This is why we should be begging to be invited to the only conference that makes sense for us. National exposure with the military academies, great academic schools and recruiting students that make sense to match our profile.

Paulie- FU does wonderful things-no doubt about that. We best find out about them by being connected and one of the best ways to connect is via sports-it’s marketing for everything there.
As far as budgets go - figure it out. Sometimes you have to spend to make. I think we abysmally fail in that regard. Lots of apathy because of entrenched attitudes.

Alex, I'll take "What is the Patriot League for $500. Playing Army doesn’t fix the attitude toward/valuing of athletics.

This past week was a "recruiting shutdown" period in Women's Basketball, so we should see some movement this week and perhaps the announcement of the new staff.
