I imagine St. Peter's is going to be flying high after their win against Iona. This will be a tough game, especially if we don't have Tyler. Any word on him? I hope he is doing okay.
How unimportant has Stag Basketball become to the local media - ZERO coverage of the Stags in the MAAC Tournament by the CT POST. However, the NEW HAVEN REGISTER does have an article on Quinnipiac in the MAAC Tournament:
“If we can shoot decently up there; we don’t even have to shoot great,” Quinnipiac coach Tom Moore said. “We will be a tough out and make a run.” But that’s a big “if.”
Quinnipiac ranks among the worst in the nation in field goal percentage (39.6) and 3-point percentage (31.2). Moore said the Bobcats need to do a better job of getting some easy baskets off stops, run outs and long rebounds. Leading scorer Zaid Hearst said ball movement and confidence will be important. “It’s basketball,” Hearst said. “Sometimes you’re on and sometimes you’re not. But when we’re clicking, it’s hard to stop us.”.....

Well Sydney didn't let Moore outdo him in this area. Fairfield has the lowest shooting percentage in the conference and despite Moore's comments of how bad quinnipiac is in this area, Fairfield is still worse. 39.4

Its interesting that there has been almost no discussion on the board about our chances to make a run. We have what should be considered a decent draw, SPC a team we beat, Rider, a team missing a key player. Under normal circumstances there would be some optimists out there saying we are poised to make a run. There would be a poll asking how deep me might go. It really says a lot about where we are as a program that a discussion about winning really isn't even taking place. The discussion is all about Sydney
