I guess I'm still wondering whether Rose and Chappell will return? Didn't Syd tell them that they didn't fit in to his team for next year? Does anyone know if they or anyone else might be leaving? That would make the difference of either having 2 scholarships to offer as we do now or possibly having 4 if they leave.
Since Threatt is the only announced player transferring out so far, I'm wondering why there hasn't been anyone else announced as transferring away at this point. St. Peter's announced today two guards transferring out for them and they had 6 seniors on their roster this past season and Quinnipiac just announced that Kasim Chandler is transferring out.
GD said we need better talent on our roster, SJ has graciously agreed to do the recruiting and I believe JoeStag has posted that it's obvious another scholarship player or two will be leaving the team --- so is there any advantage in delaying the announcement of those who will transferring?
Hasn't Sydney had his end of the season talks with each player yet so they know what is expected of them for next season or if he'd prefer they not come back? Wouldn't you want to announce the players that will be transferring as soon as possible so recruits can see where there will be openings for immediate playing time?
I do not think that the school can announce that a player is transferring, unless the Player agrees that he is transferring. The school might not renew a players scholarship, but they cannot force a player to transfer out of the school...... that is a players decision.
Not that his is Gospel, but when i look at the guys targeted on this site I really do not see any players that are targeted by bigger programs. If you look at teams like Mahattan and Iona, they go after guys targeted to go much higher. Not that any commit, but it just goes to show that we are not trying to recruit at a high level.

Okay, same point from me with different wording. Wouldn't we want to announce who will be given a release from his scholarship as soon as possible so potential recruits could see where there'll be opportunities for playing time next year?
I did notice that Quinnipiac worded their announcement that Kasim Chandler had been granted his release.
