Elsberry story on Chappel and Cobb. Unfortunately Chappell just struggled every time he came into the game. IMO, his ballhandling was not good enough to be a guard. While he did not have the "deer in the headlights" look of a Justin Jenkins, he was aggressive. However his aggressiveness, led to turnovers on offense, and fouls on defense. He also looked like he gained a lot of weight this year, but it did look like some of it was muscle. Hope he can transfer to a Division I school. Seemed like a great kid and a fine representative of the university

I don't think Chappell struggled any more than any guard we've had for the last two years. For what ever reason, he was in the dog house. His game freshman year vs Holy Cross showed he could play. He could shoot and that was a skill than we did not have outside of Nelson. Everybody feels good right now about Cobb but, IMO, The legacy of the last two years record and treatment of players and coaches over shadows that. I understand that D1 has changed as far as transfers go but I don't care about other schools. I care that our players and coaches represent FU well and I don't think SJ has done so.
Agree. Carter looks awful good. He does, at least to me, seem like more of a combo then a straight PG. Has some nice offers. Would be a great fit with Cobb, Nelson and, don't forget, Rome. His highlight video is up. Still lots of upside with that kid.
Bring in 2015 PG Olin Carter III from Allen, Texas.
A 6'1" Derek Needham with a better jump shot.
Mr. Carter would THRIVE PLAYING NEXT YEAR WITH Tyler Nelson, Marcus Gilbert and Curtis Cobb.
Would be a tremendous offensive show. Pair those 4 with a big and turn them loose.
Would be great fun to watch the next four years.
A great opportunity for Mr. Carter.
Coach Copelan received a verbal commitment from Adam Riestis from Allen, TX. It was big news there as Adam will be their first D1 lacrosse recruit. They had a signing ceremony with alot of people in attendance. I would bet Olin was in attendance and is familiar with Fairfield University.
