Tellitocci wants championship games to be played on a weekday.
How many fans can you realistically expect to get to Atlantic City for a Thursday night championship game? What about the fan experience?
Good point. He should have addressed the "fan experience" when talking about the 11:14pm tip-off: "From a student athlete experience standpoint, tipping off at 11:15 at night is not good."
I agree the current format of all these games on a Tuesday is just dumb. Play the preliminary games at the home venue of the highest seed. Secondly, it makes little sense to not play all of the teams in the MAAC next year. All we hear about is how hard it is for mid-major to schedule home games. The two new teams would give each MAAC team two more home games if all of the MAAC teams played each other. There would still be enough O/O/C game slots left to play other non conference mid major teams as well as power five conference games away to pick up a nice paycheck.
I hate Atlantic City, I hate the dark cavernous arena, I hate games being buried on ESPN+ while everybody is paying attention to the Big East, Big Ten and ACC Tournaments. End this misguided, Ensor-induced mistake.
The play-in and quarterfinal games should played on campus. The semifinal and final games should be played at either Mohegan Sun or UBS Arena the weekend before the bigger conference tournaments. And I don't buy the award ceremony crap. If the losing teams have award winners then they can travel to the tournament to pick up their hardware. It is a lot cheaper than sending your entire support team.

I could even accept the Quarters at the central location. But the PIGs belong on campus.

I have no idea what UBS usually has scheduled the weekend before the bigger conference tournaments, but Mohegan Sun has the Big East women’s tournament finishing up on that weekend. Mohegan Sun is contractually committed to the Big East women through 2026.
The transfer portal has only been open for 10 days, but so far Canisius leads D1 teams in both value lost and % of minutes lost. Iona among the leaders in value lost and Siena makes the list for % of minutes lost. Also, neither Canisius nor Siena have named their head coach yet.
