I feel like the Ivy and Patriot at the bottom aren't too surprising. Higher academics with lower profile BBall programs. You'll get some kids moving - but I bet more are there for the academics and not to max their basketball whatever. Like who is transferring to D2 from an Ivy just cuz your playing time is low?
It would be interesting to see year to year if the stats are similar.
A list of the top 20 assists leaders still in the portal. At #7 is Moe Odum of Pacific with 4.6apg. On Federman’s spreadsheets, we are listed as having expressed interest in him. He’s a 6’1” sophomore guard originally from the Bronx.

We won’t get another guard under 6’4 unless it’s a freshman is my guess. They need a bigger guard who can be the 4th guard in a 4 guard around a big set. We reached out yes but the “interest” in the kid I’m not too sure about. I try to give everyone as much knowledge because visits are what you want to rely on in terms of legitimate shots. They have two kids on campus this weekend but haven’t heard who yet. If anyone has any details let me know.
FYI on Supreme front, no shot at him. Hearing he will get $300-400k and don’t rule out going back to Georgetown. Georgetown Coaches want him back and he mainly left because of lack of commitment to playing time when he spoke to the coaches (because they had their eyes set on a few transfers who they didn’t get).

When you hear numbers like that for Cook - and I watched him play a lot, last year - any questions as to why certain mid-major players are heavily incentivized to move to P5 schools should be answered convincingly.

If a player comes in and declares as a walk-on, but gets a big NIL payout instead if no scholarships are available, is that a workaround of the scholarship limit?
One name kicked around last year on this page after he left Georgia Tech was Freds Pauls Bagatskis, a 6'8 wing from Latvia. He ended up at UT Arlington, injured his ankle and played just 2 games. He turns 21 in October but has 3 years eligibility remaining. Bagatskis has significant international experience, is a flat out shooter and would give the Stags more length, defensively.
60.8% of the D1 and D2 players who entered the portal haven’t committed anywhere yet. JJJ, Marouf, Davis, and Jack Brown are 4 of that 1,850 who haven’t committed yet. There are approximately 300 D2 schools and 364 D1 schools.
