tmaac71, u may be the most negative person on this board, other then "Atlanta Bob" and you are telling me to "chill out". Your a joke.
I don't accept 7-25 seasons. The difference between you and I is I don't like the coach and I keep my views focused on the crappy bball being played. You choose to divide the already small fan base that we have. Go have another pal...

I've been traveling and missed a lot of what has been being posted. I won't be around for Doc's roundtable, I hope everyone will give a full report.
While I understand why folks are making a big deal about the pre-submitted questions, my advice is don't worry about it. Whether the questions are asked live or pre-submitted the result will be the same. Sydney won't actually answer any questions in a meaningful way Here's a preview of what the answers will be:
We're a young team. We're hoping to get a lot of minutes from "insert any players name here." We're expecting improved contributions from "insert player name here." We hope to be a better "insert the words offensive, defensive, rebounding, ballhanding, etc." team this year. We're a young team. We expected more last year from a lot of our freshman. They didn't deliver. We didn't see the concentration and effort in practice that we expect from a couple of these guys. Our ballhandling should be improved with the addition of the incoming freshman. Did I mention we're a young team? Our recruites have a lot of potential. If they give us everything they are capable of we will be an improved team. We're going to need to reduce turnovers this season. We're expecting improved play from the guard position. Malcolm Gilbert should give us more minutes this year. The Maac is a good conference and the competition is tough. That certainly had an impact on our record last year. We probably would have wom more except we were a young team.
If you want to stay home, the above should cover about 90% of Sydney's comments. What I'd like to hear him answer is the following:
Do you think letting Jamil Fields go was a mistake? Do you think you misjudged the talent level of the players coming in last year, particularly at guard? Do you think a 7-25 results was acceptable? Do you think you should be retained if the team is not above 500 this season? How did the departure of Davis affect the team morale? Why did Malcolm Gilbert play such limited minutes last season? Do you plan on running more of a true Princeton Style offense? What will you do differently this season? Do you walk to work or do you carry your lunch? What's the difference between a basketball? Is it shorter to Harbor yard or by bus.
Answers to these early questions would be enlightening and the later questions entertaining. However I expect we won't get either, we'll get the coachspeak we've become accustomed to.
Parking is free, 365 days (eves) per year, on the street, under the I 95 overpasses, and in various lots Downtown, all within a short walk to the Arena. I have been taking advantage since the Arena opened. Sometimes, now hold onto yout seats, I even stop at one of the nearby bars and restaurants!
Just a caution about the i95 overpasses. Cops are split on enforcing the no parking posted under the bridges. One time they say no problem and the next event it's no way. I would park on the streets at the metered spaces unless you want to risk a ticket.

$35 bucks just for appetizers? I'm no cheapo, but what happened to the good old days at the golf course when we had a nice dinner and intimate conversation in a classy setting? Count me in for Ralphs or Archies afterwords.
On a more less debatable point, why is the event so early? Does Fairfield not care about the alumni commuting after work from lower Fairfield county? It's hard enough to make a game at 7 as it is....
The reception said "Heavy" hors d'oeuvres..... which means that the hors d'oeuvres should be able to used as a meal. The food that is usually served in the Stag Club is usually very good, plentifull and healthy. Hope we get the good stuff. I sent a list of questions in yesterday for Sydney, Doris and Frager. But if you did not get questions in, ask them at the event.
Free parking is reserved in the lot between Webster Bank Arena and the transit lot depicted on the attached image (follow the signs marked for this event, you will be charged if you go into any other lot). Heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served along with a cash bar
