Thank you so much for all of these new pictures. Being down here in Florida I don't get to Fairfield very often. Can they turn the existing "Dolan" into a new engineering center when the new "Dolan" is opened?

Thank you so much for all of these new pictures. Being down here in Florida I don't get to Fairfield very often. Can they turn the existing "Dolan" into a new engineering center when the new "Dolan" is opened? I was thinking that as well. Would be a great idea to give the engineering school a boost. As of right now they are pretty much confined to a floor or two in Bannow so I'm sure theyd love to have a full building to themselves.

I am thinking the â oldâ Dolan will probably be turned into a revenue producer for the U. Perhaps back into a conference center as originally designed.

Fairfield UniversityThis week, Fairfield University had the pleasure of welcoming to campus Mr. Charles F. Dolan â the namesake of the Dolan School of Business â and his family to give them a tour of the many additions transforming Fairfield into a modern Jesuit university. Of course, the tour also included a look at the progress of the new Charles F. Dolan School of Business opening this fall, which will prepare our students for a cutting-edge career in business and beyond. The Dolan familyâs commitment to Fairfield spans generations, and for that, we are eternally grateful. Thank you, Mr. Dolan, for the ways you have supported us over the years and the many ways in which your legacy will continue to help us build a bigger and brighter future.

Not crazy about all the bricks in the new designs, almost like we are trying to recreate the quad dorms. We can't use a nicer stone?

Not crazy about all the bricks in the new designs, almost like we are trying to recreate the quad dorms. We can't use a nicer stone? The tan mix of bricks actually match the Prep buildings and using them throughout campus creates unity. I am actually upset they didnât use them with Rafferty. They went with a lighter solid brick pattern there. Maybe to differentiate Rafferty, but I like the unity they create. I also like the Prep buildings, but the campus grew in the 70s/80s with a different, more modern style, and for better or worse, the university has developed/grown around that style. Over time, I have become comfortable with it as they have made smart decisions on building styles to unify and modernize the campus. Itâs a different look (than the classic academia style or ND, BC, etc), but not bad to be a little different!

I would like to thank the Dolan's for all that they have done to and for Fairfield University. Just drive the campus and you will see the impact they have left physically all around our beautiful campus. They are the consumate example of the Jesuit beliefs and traditions we were taught and try to live every day. May God continue to bless you and yours, Respectfully submitted, Naplesstag
