This game at W&M makes absolutely no sense. It is directly opposite of the MAAC intent to reduce travel in order to minimize exposure to COVID . Think about how the MAAC is limiting travel during the regular season to only five road weekends. Find another O/O/C game that is close by or just play one less game. The MAAC should step in and prohibit FF from playing this game.
I think Jay mentioned during the event last night that the Stags will indeed be honoring the contract signed to play down at William and Mary in late December. (I say "I think," because at that very time I was kind of multi-tasking with something else going on). Can someone confirm if I heard that correctly? And I also believe he mentioned they are 'close' to getting one final schedule commitment. If those things are true the OOC is almost complete.

So I see most schools with 6 games the 4 that have dates are below:
Nov. 25th: @providence Nov 28th: @stony Brook Nov 29th: Sacred Heart (@sb) Dec 22nd: @w&M
What is left for last 2 spots? 1 more high major? BC schedule is out and we aren't on it.
I believe the Stags would only be allowed 1 more based on the fact they are not in any what the NCAA calls "exempt" tournaments that allow you to get in an extra game or two. It's so confusing really. Why not just allow everyone to play the same amount of games whether you are in a tournament or not? Anyway concerning the 6 contests for other schools, remember now that each MAAC school is playing a 20 game league schedule. Not necessarily true in other leagues, thereby maybe leaving room for extra non-league contests. Last week Jay said they were "close" to signing a deal with another school. Whether that happens or not let's just accept the fact that this year will be different and unprecedented. I'm just happy that at least so far it looks like there will be a season, period. And that's something to get excited about I think.
I just saw a Seth Davis tweet that the Miami/Stetson game scheduled for November 25th has been postponed because someone at Stetson tested positive for Covid. It'll be interesting to see how many of the games scheduled for the 25th actually get played.
Iona athletic site indicates one positive case on Men’s Hoop team is the reason for shutdown. No mention on the Iona site of any games being postponed or canceled as of a few minutes ago. Nothing on Canisus site about a shutdown of Basketball program.
