I went to the new stadium.. So I can’t compare. But I’ve heard similar from Rice fans. Old was better. But the new stadium is great. Feels like a state of the art MLB park with slightly lower capacity (25k-ish).
In other news, Northeastern walks off UNCW, which helps the stags.

New one was built in order to get NCAA to keep series here for the foreseeable future. Rosenblatt had a much more hometown feel. TD Ameritrade Park is more of a “corporate” feel with skyboxes, etc. That being said, it is still a great place to watch a ball game! If we make it, let me know if any Stag fans are coming to town!

Well of course with these type of things you can never be sure until it's official, but considering all three of these well-connected entities are saying it's going to happen, well I have to believe it IS going to happen. OTOH if they are snubbed and all these people are wrong, I would be VERY disappointed. I always remember the surprise and hurt that only old-timers of Stag basketball would remember when the great and very deserving team of 1965-66 was not picked to play in the prestigious (at the time) NIT tournament in NYC. Anyway, this day has the chance to be one of the most exciting ever in the history of Fairfield athletics while at the same time always having the possibility of being one of the most depressing. Just a few hours to the final answer and I can't wait!

Wow! Logged in and saw Paulie's quote and decided to turn on the tube a couple of minutes later. Watched and didn't see the Stags in any of the regionals and was disappointed that they didn't get in. Then came back here and realized that they got in during those two minutes where I wasn't online and the TV wasn't on! Awesome result for a great team! Congratulations!
