Fairfield University Men’s Basketball (5-6)(1-1 MAAC) looks to keep rolling as the Stags bring a four-game winning streak to FDU (6-6)(0-0 NEC). Opening tip-off from the 3,000 seat Stratis Arena in Hackensack, New Jersey is on Thursday, Dec. 21 and is slated for 7 p.m. live on the YES Network and NEC Front Row.
FDU is (3-1) at home with an 862 attendance average.
Nice surprise seeing we are favored on the road. Earning respect! Go Stags!
I'm not so sure we should be favored based on how dangerous the Knights are in scoring the ball. They average almost 83 PPG (although they give up over 80). And they also feature at least three returning players who were key contributors to that team that upset Purdue last season in the NCAA Tournament. One negative to them though is that they are very small with not one important player being listed at over 6'7. This should be an exciting fast-paced up and down contest that very well could be decided by how well our guards play. So if Floyd, Leach, Fields and Goodine in particular have a good night, I like our chances. Not so much if they don't however. Go Stags!

Well if they are not particularly tall then the combo of Smith/ Seck should give the stags an advantage inside. Perhaps Seck will begin playing into game shape by this game. It does take some time after an extended injury to get back into game shape. Go stags!

. I agree with you Nashville. I would have thought FDU by 1-5 points would have been more likely. I think it is what it is due to people starting to realize Ffld can play this year. Of course a 4 game win streak is factored in too. Your analysis is always very good so let’s hope everyone is on tonight and we defend their shooters well!
This team is clicking. After starting 1-6 I did not see this coming. This might be the best a Fairfield team has looked since the end of the Needham era.
