Would be tough to assume Smith steps in when he is getting zero playing time as of now. I too would like to see him out there as he adds a shooting element that we do not have outside of Nelson and will keep opponents defense honest.
I feel that Steve Smith will eventually get more PT, if we start beating teams with a better margin.... hopefully that comes this year in the MAAC season, or at least next year. Right now the goal is to just beat Northeastern, and re-establish a winning culture. Playing the shorter rotation is necessary in order to establish that chemistry.
I also think that Smith will eventually be a PF and the next 2 years he will only get stronger, and his footspeed would be less of an issue at PF than as a SF. Could end up like an Evanovich.

Ahh, the Miracle at Mason. Those of us who were there will never forget that one. The Big E raining down fire! I see some of that same potential in Mr. Smith.
Jaspers lost BTW, George Mason missed every 3-pointer they shot until 13 secs left in the game ...... then they made 3 three-pointers in row.
Manhattan board claiming Richards didn't miss on purpose. Assuming GM out of timeouts I don't believe it. Sounds like Masielo made the right move by telling him to miss yet got burned by bad luck. How will this effect them in their next game which I believe is against us on Friday?
The Prodigal Son returns to Reitz Arena as Siena (2-2) beats Loyola (2-4) 81-71 at home before 1,023 fans.
It wasn't easy, but Jimmy Patsos walked out of Reitz Arena with another win Saturday night. Siena ended the game on a 15-5 run to post an exciting 81-71 victory over a Loyola program Patsos coached from 2004-13.
"I'm proud of our guys," Patsos said. "The last five minutes we gutted it out."
