Agreed. NorthPoleHoops ranks Olivier #24 in the Class of 2016 while NorthPoleHoops ranked Fordham's Chartouny #4 in 2015 and Zarkovic (also from Brebeuf) #6 in 2014.
Looks like Aidas will compete with Rome for point guard, Tyler and Cobb will have competition from Tommy, Oliver and Jerry. All of them are 6'4'' or less, we need to get that dominant big man for the 4 or 5 spots now.
One of the areas that we are "light", is in our strength and weight. With Tyler , Marcus, and Cobb, we can use a player that is thicker and stronger. It's hard to tell in a highlight video how physical and strong he is, but my impression is that he will bring those qualities.
Would like to see him at 6-6, but if he is 6-4 and 200, that is good size for a HS kid
He looks like a pretty aggressive, take it to the hoop, type of player. He looks fairly quick too, though that impression can be somewhat of a function of the competition he is playing against. Appears to have a somewhat funky looking shot, but as you can see from the video, he never misses!
Isn't anyone out there concerned about what is happening with our recruiting? Because I am. We have three players coming in next year who are very similar. I do not see any stars in this group. I hope that Sydney is not slipping back into his previous mindset of offering scholarships to Ivy League type players. I have seen Nolan in person and the others on tape. We need the kind of quickness and athletic ability that only the inner city can provide. This is very risky.
Well hopefully your fears don't come true. I have no comment on this kid about whether he can become a star or not, but it is true we have been in the market for a Marcus type replacement as a small forward or 3G type. But I must admit I am a little disappointed that maybe he wasn't a little taller so he could slide into a lot of minutes at the 4 position, something Marcus has done this season. Maybe he can actually do that. Looks like a solid build, very strong and maybe still getting taller? Two things here though that make me feel a bit more optimistic than you about the whole situation. First is that I know they still have a couple of spots to fill up front with big strong types. They are working hard there you can be sure. The second and more important reason is that based on the track record of the last year with the new coaches on board, especially Parrotta, I have a lot of trust now in what they are doing. Got to have some faith IMO!

Oh Canada! Canadian hoops has produced some pretty good players of late. Tristan Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, Trey Lyles, Jamaal Murray, Kyle Wiltjer, Xavier Rathan-Mayes, etc. And since Iona has cornered the JUCO and court based adjudicated transfer markets, why not look north. Looks like a shooter, and you can never have too many of them, especially in the run and gun MAAC. Hoping we've found a diamond in the rough. There is concern though, that we are collecting too many 2s and 3s. Hopefully it will all work out. But don't we need to get a big one of these days?

It is interesting watching the Fordham vs St. Louis game tonight. Parotta's imprint is all over this game. 2 of Olivier's high school teammates are starters along with a big German forward and a Czech wing who sees a lot of minutes. It feels like a preview of the international direction of Stags basketball.
From the 10th place Fordham perspective though, I am only seeing MAAC level talent. Further, former MAAC brethren Lasalle is dead last with just 2 wins in the A10.

How about....MAAC welcomes back Fordham, Lasalle, Holy Cross and Army....bon voyage to St Peters, Niagara, Canisius and Rider.
