A very good point about the mid majors. Clearly another trickle down impact that will further cause coaches at mid- majors to focus recruiting on the very next year rather then focus recruiting on building a program over a four or five year recruiting cycle . I think it is good that a talented basketball players are encouraged to go directly to the āGā league and make a living using their skills. This is really no different then a talented baseball player making a living starting in the baseball minor leagues. Additionally, it Is a small step that ends the sham these talented players go to high profile college teams to get an education and be ā student athletes ā. If this becomes a trend, some of the other marginal G-league players ( ie - Tyler Nelson) could be shut out of a G - league opportunity. They may need to focus on over seas opportunities.
Excellent point 74 concerning Tyler (and Jonathan) and other marginal G-League players. And unfortunately for them, at least for this coming year, who knows how safe it will be to play anywhere overseas? I would hope and pray that there would be enough safety around the world by the fall for them to be able to pursue their dreams, wherever they may be.
Would love to pick up this guy. 6-4 PG whose athletic and has 2.3 assists and 1.4 turnovers in only 12.5mpg. We have to show we can out recruit Manhattan, Siena, and Hofstra.

I wonder if the athletic department has any film or video archives of Stag hoop games past that could be uploaded to a YouTube channel. How great would it be for Stag alums, students and fans to have the opportunity to see some of those great Stag teams in action once again. It would make for some very pleasant stay-at-home viewing for the Stag faithful.

Great idea! I've been pretty busy so it didn't cross my mind, but that would be a great way to fill some free time.

That was fun to watch again. Now if anyone can find a replay of that epic Holy Cross game, or the four OT Stevie Burtt (the elder) thriller, or those early 70s NIT games, or the Stags vs. the Bob Lanier Bonnies, or Stags vs. Elvin Hayes Houston Cougars, and I'm sure many more the Stag faithful would love to see again.
