Portal is an equalizer when rebuilding. I agree the next coach will have to hit it hard. Aside from getting the proverbial Power 5 kid looking for playing time, there is a lot of talent sitting in the JUCO and DII/III All-American ranks that can make a difference in the MAAC.

6’10” Caleb Middleton commits to New Hampshire. He selected UNH over us, Iowa, Siena, Bryant, DePaul, and Florida International according to his offers listed on verbalcommits.
Not 100% certain on this. We have an offer out to 6’3” guard Nasir Washington, but verbalcommits lists him at a different school than The Rocktop Academy. If Nas Washington is Nasir Washington, verbalcommits lists us as the only school to have offered him so far.
Another ‘24 player listing us as actively recruiting him. Best as I can tell, he was originally from Spokane, Washington and is now at the Combine Academy in North Carolina. Many schools on this list but verbalcommits showing his only scholarship offer as South Carolina State.
According to verbalcommits, one of our ‘24 offers is to 6’8” Nelson Lamizana of Roman Catholic in Philadelphia. Last night Roman Catholic beat Archbishop Ryan in the Catholic School tournament championship game. The game was played at the Palestra and there was an amazing finish to the game. The leading scorer for Archbishop Ryan in the game was 6’9” Thomas Sorber. He’s a 4 star recruit and has committed to Georgetown.

MaxPrep lists Roman as PA's top-ranked team, one of six Philly-area schools in the top 7. Fertile recruiting grounds once again in the City of Brotherly Love.

And that play made the ESPN Top 10 this morning! Great finish to a great game at the greatest arena to watch a game (IMO) certainly helps to explain why we all love this sport, does it not? And as far as the particular kid who the Stags may be interested in, I'm glad to look at VC and still see a lot of names connected to the program despite the uncertainty in the past few months of who might be in charge next season. But in that vein maybe the fact that Tristen Guillouette, despite not signing the official letter of commitment last fall, is still on the list, might say something about what is to happen to Casey in the next couple of weeks. Fun time to be a Stag fan at the moment!
Onetime commit Tristen Guillouette has now committed to Florida Gulf Coast University. Verbalcommits didn’t have him listed as one of the class of ‘24 players offered by FGCU.
New offer to C.J. O’Hara, a 6’5” guard/small forward playing a postgrad year at the Combine Academy in North Carolina. Originally from Minnesota. We’ve also offered O’Hara’s 6’7” teammate Jamil Miller, who was originally from Spokane, Washington.
And it looks like Combine is playing Putnam Science at 12:45pm today at Clark University in Worcester in the semifinals of the National Prep Championship. The winner of that game plays for the championship this evening.
Three new offers mentioned on X (formerly Twitter) by the recruits in the last 24 hours. In addition to O’Hara and Miller from the Combine Academy NC, (information on them in the post directly above this one) we have offered 6’3” guard Jonah Hinton. Hinton’s at Panola Community College in Texas and played his prep ball in Naperville, Illinois.
