AJ Rose was not in the lineup last night when CC played and defeated Wagner in a very close game. Speculation on the Blue Devil's board is that he has been playing on a hurt ankle for the last couple of weeks and therefore might have been kept out of this contest for "maintenance" reasons if nothing else. Hopefully he gets better and is fully healthy for the NEC Tournament in a couple of weeks in which his team has a GREAT chance to win with him as a main cog. Central plays at Sacred Heart tomorrow. I wonder if he will be cleared to play for that one?

AJR played 32 minutes and was CCSU’s 2nd leading scorer with 16 points as the Blue Devils won at Sacred Heart 68-67.
Also, TJ Long was Vermont’s leading scorer with 20 (6-10 on 3s) as Vermont won at home over Bryant 65-48.

Supreme Cook with 6 pts and 11 rebounds as G'town ekes out a 77-76 win against lowly Depaul.
Makai Willis with 5 pts and 3 rebounds in Lousiana Monroe's game against Troy.
Jason Edokpayi doesn't get off the bench in New Haven's loss to Saint Rose.
AJR had 19 points, one of two CCSU players with 19 today, as the Blue Devils beat Stonehill. Coupled with Sacred Heart’s home win over Merrimack, CCSU is the top seed in the upcoming NEC tournament.

WOW what a nice turnaround for CCSU because they have not had much success over a number of years! Good for them!
Lots of connection between CCSU and Fairfield this season.
Patrick Sellers is a CCSU alum and former assistant under Howie (1999-2003), who was an assistant to Jay Young for 2 seasons at Fairfield, before coming home to New Britain for the head coaching job.
Chris Casey, who holds his Master's degree from Central Connecticut, is a former CCSU assistant coach for 2 stints (1986-88, 2001-06) who went the NCAAs with Sellers under Howie in 2002.
CCSU assistant coach Ryan Olander is a Fairfield player and alum.
Of course, AJR is our graduate transfer from Fairfield. He is the second major impact player we've had from Fairfield. Remember, John Tice
Current Fairfield AD Paul Schlickmann is the former AD from Central Connecticut.
Blue Devils fans are rooting for Casey and the Stags, especially over Quinnipiac in the MAAC!
