The Iona-Monmouth game is a big game for the Stags. It would a key tie breaker for the Stags, if Iona can win tonight .
Iona up 44-25 at the half
Wouldn't monmouth would need to lose one more game after Iona for this to matter? Or do you mean it would help in a tiebreaker if we move into third with Siena?
Monmouth would have to lose 2 more games after this one, to help us on tie-breakers
Iona slaps around Monmouth — but this time it was on the court

Playing with a sense of urgency at both ends of the floor, getting to every 50-50 loose ball, and guarding like every stop would ensure March dancing, Iona held Monmouth to 31 percent shooting in a dominant 83-67 victory in front of a record crowd of 4,522 at the Multipurpose Activities Center.
“Coach [Tim] Cluess and everybody on the coaching staff [has] really been preaching about defense,” Iona senior A.J. English said after pouring in 31 points to go with seven rebounds and five assists. “He always preaches that defense wins championships. That’s the key to success for us, playing defense.”....
“We are the best team,” Monmouth coach King Rice said after the Hawks suffered their first home loss of the year. “Just look at the records.”...
“I didn’t have my guys ready for the intensity of this,” Rice said. “Tonight we got lumped up by a better team. Iona jumped on us and outplayed us in every aspect.”
Were all feeling good right now but our last 2 games will be tough. We could lose either or both. Two manhattan losses in their last 4 games keeps us out of pig. So today we need ti say Go quinny

St Petes misses a three that would've won it. OT for them and Monmouth. Quinny misses a go-ahead jumper and fouls with 19 seconds left. Manhattan survives.
Need Monmouth to step up in OT and beat St. Peter's. Still don't think SPU is any good, but some how , some way they always manage to be good. John Dunne is a good coach that gets results with very little resources.

Monmouth seems beatable without Jones.
Monmouth defense holds for another shot clock violation! 72-69 Monmouth, Hawks get it back with 1:00 left in OT
