Peter's is a good team. You gotta beat them to accomplish something. I still feel the pain from the MAAC Tournament in Bridgeport. And beating them in Jersey City is no walk in the park either.
i don't think Big Ed leaves Providence for less than two and a half to three times the money. He is from Providence and is loving it. Good for him!
From the PROVIDENCE JOURNAL in April of 2013:
Ed Cooley has signed a contract extension that should keep him at PC through the 2021 season. Originally signed to a six-year deal in 2011, Cooley signed a four-year extension Wednesday afternoon that also includes a pay raise that is believed to bring his annual salary to an average of $2 million over the life of the contract.
"I truly want this to be the only coaching job I ever have," said Cooley, who grew up in Providence and played high school basketball at Central High.....
Iona is at Siena tonight which could be a preview of the MAAC semifinals. Here's hoping for a 6 OT game with Siena coming to town on Wednesday.
In addition to 6 OT's, a few suspensions would be good.
While its a long shot, Iona can still get the #1 seed, and the winner of the #4-#5 plays the #1 seed. But Iona needs to go 3-0 and Monmouth finish 0-2 for Iona to get #1….. Got to root for Iona.

That was seriously fun to watch. Siena down 25, came all the way back to lead with less than four minutes left. Then English hit two NBA threes to restore order. Good win for the Gaels. Clinches them second place and keeps the Stags small hopes for a three seed alive.
