Our NEC OOC opponent, Wagner, went up to Olean and beat NIT top seed St.Bonaventure 79-75 tonight. By definition, the four top seeds in the NIT brackets are the first four out of the at-large NCAA seedings. Meanwhile, last night FDU (NEC tourney champ) whom we reportedly beat in our secret scrimmage this year was routed by Florida Gulf Coast. There's a reason it's referred to as March Madness I guess.
Also tonight Bill Carmody's Holy Cross Crusaders (finished 9th in Patriot League regular season) won their NCAA game 59-55 over Southern and Monmouth became the 1st MAAC team this season to win a postseason game on its home court by beating Bucknell 90-80.

St Joes beat Cinncinati last night on Jumper with 9 secs to go by Isaiah Miles. Miles and Papa Ndao were both on the St Joes team that we beat 4 years ago……. on a Needham shot with 17 second left. Check the clock below.

We don't really have an NCAA thread, so I'll offer this comment (albeit a bit late): as exciting as the Texas A&M comeback was, the refs clearly missed a call on the tying basket (either the NI player traveled - his pivot foot drags about a foot across the floor - before the TO... or more likely, he was fouled). Also, the +1 call was bogus. Also - I guess NI was out of TO's, so maybe the coach couldn't help... but don't turn the ball over for quick scores. This was the rare situation that even 10 second calls would have been fine Crazy confluence of bad play and bad calls like we've never seen.
